The Chat

The Upmeet AI Chat is a conversational interface designed to analyze meeting data—including transcripts, summaries, decisions, and action items—to provide intelligent, context-aware insights.

1. Core Functionality

The Chat allows users to move beyond static meeting notes by querying the AI for specific information across one or multiple meetings.

  • Key Capabilities:
    • Summarizing meetings or specific topics.
    • Extracting decisions and action items.
    • Identifying participants and recurring themes.
    • Comparing data across multiple sessions.
    • Tracking project progression over time.

2. Using the Chat Interface

Starting a Session

  • Navigate to the Chat tab and click "Start a Chat."
  • The interface provides suggested questions to assist new users, such as:
    • "What are the key points of the meeting?"
    • "What decisions were made?"
    • "Who talked about [Subject]?"
    • "What are the next action items?"

Applying Filters

Filters are essential for defining the scope of the AI's analysis. Users can access the Filters icon (top right) to narrow down data by:

  • Dates: Specific start/end date ranges.
  • Tags: Filtering by user-defined categories (e.g., "Sales," "Product").
  • Specific Meetings: Selecting individual meetings for targeted analysis.

Note: Once filters are applied, all subsequent questions will rely only on the selected subset of meetings.

3. Managing Conversations

Previous Chats

The Recent Conversations section stores your history, allowing you to:

  • Review past AI analyses.
  • Re-ask questions as new meetings are added.
  • Modify filters on existing threads to re-analyze data.
